We are pleased to release the inaugural issue of YTY Cares, our corporate social responsibility newsletter. The newsletter showcases various community causes, philanthropy, and other forms of giving that YTY has progressively participated in 2022 in Malaysia. Although these activities have been individually written-up at the time they occurred during the year, we felt it appropriate to create this compendium to highlight the consistency and frequency of our approach, and the diversity of causes that we have supported throughout the year.
Aliza Khalid, Head of CSR, YTY Group, notes “Our ongoing commitment to social responsibility programmes is underpinned by our corporate Core Values of Hardwork, Excellence, Honesty, Positivity and Teamwork. These values guide us to be a responsible partner in the communities in which we operate so as to deliver a positive impact to society, self, and the environment. I am heartened to note that the activities we have sponsored and participated in last year have directly and positively affected the lives of hundreds of individuals around us, and beneficially uplifted numerous communities throughout Malaysia.”
Despite the challenges our industry has faced as a whole in 2022, YTY never wavered from its commitment to provide ongoing support – financially and otherwise – via a multitude of CSR programmes to ensure we lend assistance to those most in need of it. Further, employee participation in the various programs we have been involved in is healthy, and continues to grow, which reflects our desire to actively participate in the causes we support as much as possible.
