YTY Wins Dual Recognition for ESG Excellence at Positive Impact Awards

YTY is proud to announce it has received two prestigious recognitions at the ESG Positive Impact Gala Awards 2026, including the Most Outstanding ESG Initiatives of the Year (Large Companies), one of the highest honors presented at this year’s awards. In addition, YTY was also recognized with a Gold Award in the category of Human Rights & Labor Standards (Large Companies).
Organized by Star Media Group and advised by Ernst & Young, the ESG Positive Impact Awards recognize Malaysian companies that have demonstrated leadership and measurable impact across the Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) spectrum. The awards ceremony was officiated by the Government of Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, and hosted by Star Media Group Chairman Tan Sri Wong Foon Meng. The awards are endorsed and supported by several Malaysian government ministries and agencies, with 44 companies across a diverse range of industries recognized with 65 awards this year.
YTY’s recognition as Most Outstanding ESG Initiatives of the Year represents a particularly significant achievement as, following the initial category judging, top award recipients were invited to present their ESG accomplishments directly to a judging panel in a further round of evaluation to determine the overall winner. YTY ultimately emerged with the top distinction in the Large Companies segment, making it the first medical glove manufacturer in Malaysia to receive this honor.
YTY was also conferred a Gold Award for Human Rights & Labor Standards, which recognized the Group for its longstanding commitment to protecting worker rights, responsible recruitment, employee welfare, ethical labor practices, and the maintenance of rigorous social compliance standards across its operations and supply chain.

YTY’s ESG framework encompasses a broad range of priorities, including responsible manufacturing, renewable and clean energy adoption, resource efficiency, occupational health and safety, employee welfare, ethical recruitment and labor practices, corporate governance, and community engagement. The Group has made significant progress across these areas in recent years, supported by continued investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency, progressively higher standards of social compliance and worker welfare, and a governance framework designed to align YTY’s operations with internationally recognized ESG principles.

As a result of the recognition received, YTY will now advance to represent Malaysia at the Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards later this year, where it will compete alongside leading ESG corporates from across the region. The opportunity marks another important milestone for YTY and provides a broader platform to showcase the Group’s approach to responsible manufacturing, human rights, environmental stewardship, and sustainable business practices beyond Malaysia.
This latest achievement builds on a growing number of independent recognitions for the Group’s ESG performance across sustainability, social compliance, workplace safety and responsible employment practices, further reinforcing YTY’s commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and trusted global manufacturing partner.
