YTY Industry Maintains WRAP Gold

Accreditation for Social Compliance Excellence

YTY Industry is pleased to announce it has once again been awarded a Gold accreditation by WRAP for our Malaysian manufacturing operations, which reaffirms our steadfast commitment to socially responsible and ethically compliant manufacturing.  WRAP, which stands for Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production, is an independent, globally recognized governance body that holds manufacturers to high standards of excellence, particularly in respect of forced labor prevention, worker protection, and ethical manufacturing.
Harinder Kaur, Head of Social Compliance & Corporate Governance at YTY, notes, “Attaining WRAP Gold for a consecutive year is validation of our efforts to place employee welfare and ethical conduct at the center of how we operate.  WRAP’s rigorous protocols at each reassessment point, which include comprehensive documentation reviews, unannounced site audits, and verification of worker communication and grievance mechanisms, ensure that only manufacturers with strong governance systems, transparent practices, and consistent compliance discipline attain this level of accreditation.  We are pleased that our internal standards and practices continue to meet these elevated benchmarks.”
The Gold accreditation is awarded to manufacturers that meet exemplary compliance standards across WRAP’s 12 Principles, which are grounded in internationally recognized workplace norms, local regulatory requirements, and global best practices.  These principles draw on key international conventions such as the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. The evaluation process places strong emphasis on critical aspects of ethical manufacturing, including the prohibition of forced or child labor, adherence to legal labor requirements, and the assurance of safe and healthy working environments.
YTY has had a long history of achievement with WRAP.  Based on the performance of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Medisafe Technologies, YTY was the first glove manufacturer globally to be awarded a WRAP Gold certification in 2019. We followed this up by earning the industry’s first WRAP Platinum certification in 2022, which was revalidated again in 2024, both times based on the sustained performance of Medisafe Technologies.  This latest accreditation further affirms YTY’s long-standing leadership in socially responsible and ethically compliant manufacturing.
